Waipā is a place where folks can connect with the ‘āina (that which feeds us – the land and resources), and learn about our Hawaiian values and lifestyle through laulima (many hands working together).

Some of our favorite ways to enjoy the many amazing things the Waipā Foundation is doing on the island is to volunteer for a weekly Poi Day, visit the weekly farmers market, or buy a poi cheesecake from the community refrigerators.

Poi Day

Every Thursday, you have the opportunity to join locals for Poi Day and learn about the cultural practice of making poi, socialize with one another, and share 'ono food. Learn more about Poi Day here.

Farmer's Market

Every Tuesday, the Waipā farmers market happens from 2pm - dusk. The farmers market features local vendors offering fresh and mostly organic veggies, fruits, flowers and a variety of foods and crafts. Learn more here.

Community Refrigerators

Every day, the Waipā Foundation has community refrigerators available with sweet and savory treats. Select from poi cheesecake and other local flavors with all proceeds benefitting the Waipā Foundation.
